City House Application
2024-2025
The City House is a Christ-centered living-learning community in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. The house accommodates ten Geneva College students interested in engaging a traditional neighborhood in downtown Beaver Falls. Students living in the house participate in Christian community by sharing meals together, meeting weekly, serving alongside local ministries and building relationships in the neighborhood. Each of these pieces are built into a college course taught in the house called Civic Engagement: Beaver Falls.
The program has been shaped around the principles of Christian Community Development and seeks to provide students with an experience in which they enter into the life of a neighborhood, understand the needs within a distressed city, recognize assets, build relationships, and imagine restoration. Ultimately, we seek to grow in our love for God and neighbors through the experience of living together in our community.
